Steve Buxton

Joint Managing Director

Steve has four children and lives in Mt Eliza. He has a background in business, real estate and development and a family history in Melbourne property dating back to 1861. He has been involved in developments of a boutique residential nature through to major urban regeneration projects. He has an undergraduate degree in Business (Major – Accounting) and a Post Graduate in Property.

Paul Hameister

Joint Managing Director

Paul is an ex-lawyer (Freehills) and ex-investment banker (Macquarie Bank), who has spent the last 14 years working in the property development industry. He is currently co-chairman of Australia’s largest university commerce student association – the National Board of the Financial Management Association of Australia (FMAA). Paul is also the 68th Australian to summit Mt Everest.

Mischa Leonard

Chief Operating Officer

Mischa joined Hamton in 2010 as Chief Operating Officer after a two year overseas appointment. As former Chief Financial Officer for Industry Superannuation Property Trust (ISPT Pty Ltd) and Folkestone Limited, an ASX listed developer, Mischa has over 18 years of property experience. This includes development in the residential, commercial, industrial and retail sectors, funds management and public private partnerships (PPP’s).


Development Management and Delivery Team

Matt Malseed

Development Director

Matt holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) and Business and has been with Hamton since 2004.  During 2010 and early 2011 Matt moved across from the Development Management team to head up the Sales and Marketing department, however he has recently resumed his role as a Development Director and is currently overseeing the Development Management and Sales and Marketing  of the Abbotsford project.  Projects included in his portfolio of successful development and project management are Abito, Alexandra Headland, Rize, Baymarque and Stonington.  Matt has also led Hamton’s site acquisitions at Abbotsford and South Melbourne.

Chris Szworak

Development Director

Chris holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) (Monash) and has over 16 years of experience in construction, project delivery and development management in both Australia and overseas. As Development Director at Hamton, he has managed projects such as Fifty Albert, Society South Yarra, MGV and The Rathdowne.

Peter Forsyth

Development Manager

Peter holds a Bachelor of Architecture (Hons) and Bachelor of Planning and Design from The University of Melbourne. He is a registered architect and over the past five years he has worked for a high profile architecture firm on a range of residential, commercial and multi-residential projects. He is currently working on Fifty Albert and Malvern Hill.

Scott Ginnivan

Development Manager

Scott holds a Bachelor of Business Marketing (RMIT) and a Master of Property & Construction (University of Melbourne). Scott has a strong background in both Development Management and Sales & Marketing, and is currently working on projects with a gross realisation of over $500m. Scott has also been part of several key development site acquisitions since joining Hamton in 2008.

Jacqueline Lockwood

Development Manager

Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Business Property (RMIT) and has worked in the property industry both locally and overseas for over 10 years.  Jacqueline has experience in master planned communities and apartment developments and since joining Hamton in 2008 has worked as a Development Manager on a range of projects including Society, Malvern Hill and Abbotsford.

Cameron Jones

Assistant Development Manager

Cameron holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting & Finance) from Monash University and a Master of Property from The University of Melbourne. Cameron joined Hamton in 2010 having previously worked as an accountant at a mid-tier accounting and finance firm.

Livio Pozzebon

Senior Project Manager

Livio joined Hamton in November 2011 with over 30 years of experience in construction, development and project management in a wide range of projects including Melbourne underground train station, Melbourne civic square, container storage terminals, apartment buildings (high & low rise), office buildings, Crown Casino complex (including temporary casino) and Crown Casino Mahogany Room extension/upgrade. Further to his initial Diploma in Building, post graduate qualifications have also been obtained in Building Project Management & Property. Livio will be supervising the delivery of Malvern Hill, Eden, Haven & Fifty Albert.

Matthew Cheng

Assistant Project Manager

Matthew joined Hamton in 2011 as an assistant project manager, and is currently assisting Livio on Malvern Hill, Fifty Albert, Eden and Haven. Matt has completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Built Environment), a Bachelor of Construction Management and Economics and two diplomas in Building and Building Surveying.


Sales and Marketing Team

Cameron D Yates

Director – Sales

Cam is responsible for co-ordinating Hamton’s product sales campaigns. Prior to joining Hamton, he spent seven years running commercial office sales for Asian Pacific Building Corporation (including Kew Junction Tower, The Jewel, Toorak Corporate, Exchange Tower and St Kilda Rd Towers – total of around $300m in sales). With an exceptional network of investors from 26 years in the property industry, including founding director/officer in effective control of both Wilson Pride (Brighton) Pty Ltd and Melbourne Commercial Office Sales and Leasing Pty Ltd, Cam has successfully sold out Abito, JBC, MGV, Baymarque, Rathdowne, Rize and Society.

Bryan Ng

Project Sales Manager

Bryan has worked in Project Marketing in the Real Estate industry since 1996 for several leading Melbourne property developers. Prior to joining Hamton, he specialized in marketing inner city high-rise apartments and spent more than six years working for Mirvac Group (including Yarra Edge high-rises, Albert Park Terraces, Waverley Park and Waterways’ house and land packages).

With his multilingual skills including Malaysian, Mandarin, Cantonese and Indonesian, Bryan has marketed projects overseas and has assisted international clients from all over the world  in achieving their property goals in Australia.

Sarah Halkyard

Public Relations and Marketing Manager

Sarah holds a Bachelor of Business (Property) (RMIT) and is currently studying a Master of Commerce (Marketing Major) (RMIT). Prior to Hamton she was an Assistant Development Manager at MAB Corporation. Sarah joined Hamton in May 2006 and is responsible for managing the Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Events and Advertising for all Hamton projects.

Alice Minogue

Public Relations and Marketing Co-ordinator

Alice is currently studying Psychology & Management/Marketing at Monash University. Alice joined Hamton casually in 2008, and moved to full time in 2010 to assist with the Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Events and Advertising for all Hamton projects.

Karin Jacobsen

Contracts Administrator

Karin has over 6 years experience in the Melbourne property industry.  As a previously licensed REIV member she managed large property management portfolios, and comes to Hamton after just completing a Diploma of Project Management at Swinburne and 4 years working with one of Victoria’s leading residential developers. 

Nicole Wiseman

Manager – Real Estate

Nicole is the Officer in Effective Control of the Hamton Real Estate Services team and has over 12 years of specialist experience in the industry.  Nicole is a fully licensed member of the REIV and is responsible for Residential Property Management and Re-sales.

Anastasia Toddie

Reception and Administration Assistant

Anastasia joined Hamton in October 2011 as Hamton Real Estate Service’s Property Management Assistant and Leasing Co-ordinator. Anastasia has her Agents Representative, and previously worked in OC and Property Management. Anastasia is the first friendly point of contract for HRES clients. 


Finance & Administration Team

James Copes

Financial Controller

James is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Business Degree and Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Services.  He has over 10 years experience in the accounting profession (mid-tier accounting practices), including provision of compliance and consulting advice to small/medium businesses and high networth individuals. James is responsible for Hamton’s finance function including group, project and JV reporting and compliance.  He is also currently the honorary Treasurer of Tennis Victoria and on the Tennis Victoria Board. 


Nicole Hughes

Project Finance Manager

Nicole holds a Bachelor of Business (Swinburne) majoring in International Business and Management. Nicole joined Hamton in 2008 after five years of finance administration experience. She assists the Financial Controller with project and director finances.

Peter Dunn

Company Finance Manager

Peter joined Hamton in March 2011 with 6 years accounting experience, which includes over 3 years in the property sector. He holds a Diploma of Business and is currently completing his Bachelor of Commerce.

Bronwyn Leech

Accounts Assistant

Bronwyn joined Hamton in May 2011 with over six years of accounts experience. She assists the Project and Company Finance Managers and is currently completing a Diploma of Accounting.

Lidia Anile

Real Estate Trust Accountant

Lidia has 15 years of trust accounting experience before joining Hamton in May 2011. Lidia is responsible for Trust Accounting functions for Hamton Real Estate Services, together with Owners Corporation accounts.

Mira Sivakov

Receptionist/Executive Assistant

Mira has been working in administration for over seven years and has completed all certificates in Office Administration. She has completed a Diploma in Business Administration (NMIT), is Executive Assistant to Matthew Malseed and Cameron Yates, and attends reception.

Lee Halliday

Executive Assistant

Lee joined Hamton in November 2011 as Executive Assistant to Mischa Leonard, Paul Hameister & Steve Buxton. Lee has worked previously in the Professional Services , Finance  and Insurance sectors and brings a myriad of administrative skills and Executive Assistant experience.  Lee holds Certificates in Business Administration, OH&S & Graphic Design and will be completing her Diploma of Business Administration in 2012.
